Food Culture at NFD
Here's the thing about Nine Foxes Down — we're not in a hurry, and we'd love it if you weren't either. This is a place built to slow you down. To unspool the tight little knot your thoughts have been tying all day. The room is calm on purpose, the kind of quiet that makes your shoulders drop without you noticing. Everything we do starts there. The food, the coffee, the pace — all of it follows the same idea: stay awhile.
Breakfast
Who decided breakfast had to end? Not us. We call ours Morning Hunts, and it runs all day long, because some mornings start at 3pm and that's perfectly fine.
There's the Benedict, with hollandaise so silky it feels like a small act of generosity. There's seared Angus beef, for when "breakfast" is really a statement of intent. And there's the omelette — folded, tender, deceptively simple. We plate it all like it matters, because it does.
Brunch & Lunch
As the day stretches out, so does the menu. Our sourdough has that lovely tang and chew, the kind that makes a sandwich worth talking about. The ciabatta is airy and rustic, practically built for piling things high. And yes, the Angus beef is back — some things are just too good to keep to one hour of the day.
Dinner
This is the fun part, where the kitchen gets curious. Tarragon, bright and herbal with a whisper of anise. Marrakech — our love letter to Moroccan spice, warm with cumin and coriander and a slow heat that hangs around like a good conversation. And beef platters made for sharing, though we won't judge if you don't.
The Flavors
We think about sauces more than is probably normal. Marinara, slow-cooked into sweetness. Pesto, green and sharp and alive. Teriyaki that walks the line between salt and shine. BBQ, smoky and deep. Each one is here to make something else taste better — never to steal the show. The whole menu is really one long, happy exploration of texture, spice, and aroma, all playing nicely together.

Patisserie
You don't have to earn the patisserie with a full meal first. Plenty of people come in just for this — a slice and a good cup of coffee, an afternoon that asks nothing more of you. Our New York–style cheesecakes are the headliners: dense, creamy, properly indulgent, in pistachio, chocolate, and a plain that needs no convincing. Then there's the walnut brownie, fudgy with a toasted crunch, and the brookie — that glorious brownie-cookie hybrid for people who refuse to choose. It pairs beautifully with our medium roast, but it stands perfectly well on its own, too.

Coffee at NFD
We're a little particular about coffee, and we're not sorry. We roast ours medium, and there's a reason for that. Go too light and the cup turns sharp and grassy. Go too dark and you bury everything interesting about the bean under bitterness. Medium roast? That's the sweet spot — the Goldilocks zone — where the Cerrado's natural chocolate-and-nut sweetness gets to shine, with just enough body to keep up with a rich plate of food. Balanced, smooth, full-bodied. It plays well with every bite.

Artisanal Drinks
Coffee's the foundation, but we like to play, too. Our artisanal drinks are where the espresso gets adventurous — bright, unexpected, built for the curious. The Fox Berry is the one to start with: a tangle of berries meeting a shot of espresso, sweet and sharp and a little bit electric. It's the kind of drink that makes you tilt your head, take a second sip, and decide you're staying longer than you planned.
